BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION
All times, beginning Saturday, March 26, until Summer 2021
Jean Scott Bridge is closed in both directions for re-construction.

Traffic on the Staten Island Expressway is rerouted to the

cross-Staten Island Expressway to the Verazzano Bridge.

Q91 service is suspended between South Ferry and South Shore Park/Ride.

s79 LTD service operates via route s78 between Alstom Blvd and St. George Terminal.

All express buses operate via Brooklyn.

Q75 service is increased and run between St. George and South Shore P/R or Six Flags Park.

Expect more crowding aboard the Staten Island Ferry, and at terminals such as South Ferry and St. George.

 

This project was originally slated to begin in Winter 2019, but a boat smashed into one of the ramp pillars by accident, forcing the whole bridge to close. It was then decided to do the project now rather then wait later.

 

The Q91 will still operate limited service, the first and last stop for Q91 buses going towards Staten Island is South Ferry. The Staten Island-bound Q91 and s79 bus bay at South Ferry is closed.

 

s79 LTD buses arrive and depart on the s78 platform at St. George Terminal.

 

Service is increased on the Staten Island Ferry, s78 and Q75 buses to better serve our riders.
